Applying for Chinese Tourist Visa but you don’t have ITR? (Income Tax Return)

In my case, I don’t have problem when it comes to completing documents since my business is well documented but somehow my sister is not! And I need a companion going there so we tried to apply for the first time and wish her luck – lacking these papers.

We applied at Makati branch personally without interview and you can submit others application too and pay P1,400 pesos for Single entry.

You may choose a legit travel and tours to apply for you incase you don’t have time and pay for their service charge.


Basic requirements for Tourist visa for Filipino passport holder:

1) Passport – Original passport that is valid for at least another 6 months with at least one blank visa page, a photocopy of the passport’s information/photo page and emergency contact page.

2) Visa Application Form – Please submit truthfully completed and signed Visa Application Form of the People’s Republic of China. Please type the answer in capital English letters in the space provided. Do not leave any field blank. Type N/A if the item does not apply. Application form of minors must be signed by their parents or legal guardians.

3) Photo – Please provide 2 color photos and affix one of the photos on the Application Form. The photo should be recent(within 6 months), front view, white background, in 48mm x 33mm size without head covering.  Stapled/taped/clipped/detached photos will not be accepted.Specific photo requirement, please click here


Additional Requirements:

1. Bank Certificate of Deposit Balance (including the past 6 months bank statement) and the receipt for payment of this certificate. ( How much? Enough to cover your stay)

3. BIR-stamped Income Tax Return Form;

4.Certificate of Employment(detailing the salary and the length of employment );

5.Business Registration Certificate(if you are the owner);

6. Professional ID/Student ID (if applicable);

Note: Other relevant documents proving the applicant’s economic condition/ employment/study, or supporting the applicant’s travel to China, or explaining the travel purpose (if applicable);

What did she submit?

All the Basic requirements mentioned above and a bank certificate only plus a explanation letter why she don’t have other requirements such as Income tax Return, Certificate of Employment or Business papers.

And yes she did! got tourist visa approved after 4 working days straight applying to Embassy at Makati.

  • My mom is retired and does not maintain a bank account. And we are planning a vacation 3 months from now.
    Do you think it will work if to submit an explanation letter stating that I will support her expenses enclosed with my own bank statement?
    Everything has been paid for with airfare and tour package.

    In case denied, how many days can apply for appeal?

    • Hi. I have the same question but nag apply na ko ng visa with my mom she’s retired and doesn’t have bank acct . nag attached ako ng notarized letter and bank cert and statement , na ako magsponsor ng trip namin for 4days and 3nights maaaprove kaya? Nov 4 pa result.

  • Hello, I am working now as an house maid, My friend is inviting me to come in china, yet I’m not sure if i can submit COE, BIR, or any BUSINESS PAPERS because of my current job, I am wondering if i can just submit an explanation letter too just like your sister did?
