Bambike Intramuros tour Experience
Living in Manila, Intramuros is not new anymore to me. But since I love history and going to historical places gives me a nolstagic feeling like I’m living in previous time – old soul haha. We decided to visit Intramuros and have a Bambike tour. Just a quick recap in our history, Intramuros or “with in the walls” was constructed during Spanish Era. It was built after Limahong (Chinese Pirate) attack and severely damage the city.
It is also became the center of political power at that time but during World War II, it was heavily bomb that resulted to its destruction.
Intramuros has a lot of history to offer for us, It would be great if time to time we go on historical places like this and reflect. Just make sure that if you’re going for a walk in Intramuros you wear a comfy shoes or if you want a tour you may choose to have a Kalesa tour or Bambike (Bamboo bike) tour, which we tried.
You might be wondering why we chose to have a tour rather on our own? The place is quite big to walk, plus if its a tour you’ll have additional insights/knowledge on some historical places by the tour guides.

We suggest you get the afternoon session to avoid too much exposure from the sun and spend the rest of the day at the roof deck of bayleaf hotel. They offer a variety of foods and drinks plus a 360 view of the entire city.
