PSA Birth Certificate Online: Step by Step guide
PSA Birth Certificate is one of the usual documents that government agencies or employers require us to submit. Whether you’re applying for a Passport, Marriage license, Civil Service /PRC exam, and even in your new employment, it is one of the documents they require from you right? Luckily, unlike before that, you need to go to their office to get one, you can now request your PSA Birth Certificate online. Just to be clear, you can still go to their office for a walk-in request if you prefer to. But for us, we personally prefer to request our PSA Birth Certificate online since it is more convenient and less hassle.
How to get/apply for a PSA Birth Certificate Online
There are 2 sites wherein you can request a PSA Birth Certificate.
It is up to you which site you prefer but for this illustration, we will use https://psahelpline.ph/
STEP 1: Visit PSAHelpline.ph
- Go to https://psahelpline.ph/
- Click “Get Started”
- Then choose “Birth Certificate”
- Read the “Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy” then tick the box and click continue.
STEP 2: Provide requestor information
Indicate if you are requesting for yourself or inbehalf of your immediate relative.
Courier will update you every now and then regarding the status of your PSA birth certificate request. Make sure that the requestor is available during the delivery date and his/her valid id indicated in this section is available. Courier is VERY strict in releasing your PSA document. They will not give it to another person aside from the requestor indicated in this section. We personally experience it, even with an authorization letter, the courier did not give the document.
STEP 3: Fill out the information required
- Complete name (first, middle, last)
- Complete Father’s name
- Complete Mother’s maiden name
- Date of birth (month, day, year)
- Place of birth
- Whether or not registered late. If late registration, you need to indicated when it was registered.
- Purpose of the certification
- Complete name, address, and contact information of the requesting party
- Number of copies needed
STEP 4: Payment
There are several options you can choose from when paying for your PSA Birth Certificate.
Just choose what is more convenient for you.
STEP 5: Wait for the delivery
As indicated on their website, it will be delivered within 2-7 working days. Based on our own experience here in Metro Manila, we usually received our requested document around 2-3 working days after our online payment.
Aside from the timely update that you will receive from PSA/Courier, you can also check the status of your PSA birth certificate in the Check Status menu on their webpage. Just input your reference number and click the “check status” button.
