Bangkok temple 5

To celebrate my 25th birthday, for a change, I tried traveling solo, this time on a foreign land since before I tried to travel alone locally, testing my inner bravery, no I’m not moving  on stage ( “haha” ) and would like to test   how far can I go with just 2 days in Bangkok for only P 7,000 plus pesos!

And turned out to be most memorable birthday ever!

 “IT’S AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE “

Bangkok are generally tourist friendly, they have rich culture, their foods are great, and what I liked  most in Bangkok is that everything here is cheap (Hotel, Transportation, Food, etc compared to other Asian countries). Bangkok is a perfect place for those people who love to shop like me.

Below are my detailed Bangkok itinerary and Expenses.

DAY 1 :

8:50 Arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport

For those who are too excited in their adventure and forgot to change their currency, A lot of money exchange shops are available in the airport.

9:10 Airport to Silom

Silom Road is the perfect place to stay for a “Budgetarian”, it is accessible to all and have a very cheap accommodation price. The place has its own train stations that are connected to the city. Bangkok Night markets and Night life (Pat Pong) are just around the corners, Malls and other shopping area are nearby too.

To go there from the Airport, you need to ride Airport Rail Link, then alight to Phaya Thai Station. transfer to the BTS Skytrain (Bearing) then get off to Siam Station. Board another train going towards Bang Wa,  Silom road is in between Saladaeng Station and  Chong Nonsi station. you may opted to alight in any of the stations depending upon your Hotel/Hostel.

Instead of card, it’s a plastic coin that you need to swipe upon entering the train.

Arriving to Lub d hostel, a very nice place for a cheap price. Their staffs are friendly, the place is clean and it is situated within shopping centers. It is also 15 mins away from Temples at Bangkok.

Bangkok Tour would not be complete without visiting its most famous landmark “the Grande Palace”. You will be amazed by its architectural designs, the craftsmanship and the attention to detail they put on it. Grand Palace is the official residence of Thailand’s King and with in it you can find also the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, its one of the most sacred place in Thailand.

From Silom to Grand Palace:

  • Via Subway and Boat:  Take the Silom Line and get off at Saphan Taksin Station (3 stations from Chong nonsi), Straight ahead going Exit No. 2. Then, take the Chao Phraya Express Boat Get off to Ta Chang Pier. A 10 minute walk going to the entrance gate of the Grand Palace.
  • Via Taxi/Grab:  I think it is still the most convenient way.
